BEAVERTON - The City of Beaverton has been involved in the planning of The Round for several years. After the first developer ran into financial difficulty, the City purchased the project out of bankruptcy court and immediately sold it to a second developer, Dorn Platz.
Dorn Platz has been developing the Round, a mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Beaverton, since 2002. The final development will consist of a total of eight buildings; four have been constructed to date. Dorn Platz is scheduled to complete the remaining buildings in 2008.
The Round is home to some of Beaverton's newest and most popular restaurants, a 24 Hour Fitness, and Cambridge College, not to mention several professional businesses.
At the completion of this project, the Round will house 64 condos, 80,000 sq. ft. of retail, 450,000 sq. ft. of office, and 800 structured parking spaces.
